Somaya Langley

  

Somaya Langley has a background in the arts, sound, media, broadcast, festivals, archives, libraries digital collecting and digital preservation. She has worked for ABC Classic FM, the Australian Music Centre, as the Curator of Networked Media for the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia and is currently working for the National Library of Australia. She has also undertaken consultancy work for the Australia Council for the Arts to research and deliver the Archives in the Digital Era Scoping Study Report. Somaya was one of two Creative Co-Directors/Co-Producers of the 2008 and 2009 Electrofringe festivals, Australia’s festival of electronic arts and culture and was Production Manager of the International Society of Contemporary Music World New Music Days festival in 2010. In 2009 she was Co-Curator of Transit Lounge, a partner project of Berlin’s transmediale festival. She loves working at the nexus between the arts, culture, society and technology.
