I'm currently working on the Collection Discoverability program at the National Gallery of Australia. As Collection Systems Officer, Discoverability, my role is to facilitate the inclusion of contextual data into the Collection Management System in support the wider Collection Discoverability Project aims of improving the ability for NGA visitors to find, browse, interpret and respond to works of art according to their own needs and interests. I have previous workplace experience within the Arts and Cultural and Tertiary sectors in a variety of roles with Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern (Brisbane), James Cook University (Townsville) and Perc Tucker Regional Gallery (Townsville). I am also currently engaged in Higher Degree research in the Humanities field in a part-time capacity through James Cook University. My research centers around an investigation and articulation of the cultural constructs that contemporary Australian artists who use collection practices within their artistic practice engage with.
