I'm a geographer who ended up doing web work, computer programming and IT support for the ANU Geography Department and all of its successor organisations, culminating in the Fenner School of Environment & Society.

We're looking at ways of making better use of numerous web technologies to improve the research and teaching within the School, and after years of C, Perl and PHP, I'm now in the process of learning what modern (as opposed to late-90s) JavaScript allows us to do with all sorts of wonderful geographic tools out there on the web.
