My PhD is in history and my current job involves overseeing the editing of the Australian Dictionary of Biography. However, I've always been interested in computers and technology - ever since my dad used to take me to his lab at La Trobe where he measured rates of gas reactions using an apparatus automated by an Apple II. I'm chair of the newly formed Australasian Association for Digital Humanities and like to get involved in conversations about how we can get more funding for interesting projects in our region.
